Purpose of the Application

Microsoft Forms is a survey and quizzing tool that allows users to create, distribute, and evaluate forms, quizzes, and polls. It is meant for collecting feedback, assessing an individual's knowledge, and simplifying data collection in as many ways as possible for educational purposes.

How It Can Be Used in Teaching

Assessment: The teacher can create quizzes where answers are auto-graded to assess student comprehension.

Feedback Collection: Forms could be quite useful for collecting student opinions about a lesson or classroom experience.

Attendance and Registration: You can quickly and easily take attendance or allow people to sign up for events.

Submission of Assignments and Homework: Students can submit their answers online, cutting down on paperwork.

Some of its strengths are its easy use, real-time data analysis with auto-generated charts and reports and the questions are fully customizable (for example, multiple-choice, short answer, ratings). However, it also has some weaknesses like limited design customization, Internet connection for full functionality and the fact that some advanced features are restricted for Microsoft 365 users.

Do I recommend it?

The answer is yes, because Microsoft Forms provides a very functional option for educators. It is simple to use, has first wonderful automation features, and is part of Microsoft 365, which makes it a good classroom management and assessment tool. There are a few limitations, but it is still greatly advised to teachers who would like to enhance engagement, improve assessment, and save time on better organizing student data.

What is Powtoon.com?

Powtoon I did some research on this website to look for its characteristics, advantages and disadvantages to create a more complete view of its functions. Maybe the biggest challenge that I faced while working on this presentation was to find a more complete way to demonstrate Powtoon features due to the many limitations I found in the website. I created a power point presentation with some pictures as a guide to learn how to use the website properly, the way in which I interacted with the audience was through the explanation of all these aspects and I think that in future presentations I would record my screen to present everything "on live", maybe that way I could engage the audience more.

  Didactic class application Phrasal Verbs For this presentation I planned and created the structure of my presentation according to the  homework indications to start with the canva presentation. After that I focused on looking for effective options and I decided to use Microsoft forms for the listening and speaking part and then Socrative for the reading and writting section, once I had my ideas in order and finally developed my activities I started to prepare for the oral part and also created the type of rubric that I wanted to use for the evaluative part. I think the biggest challenge that I faced during the development of this presentation was to find apps that could allow me to create diverse activities all in one.
